I started potty training my 21 month old last week. As a result, I am doing a lot of laundry. I want to get my son accustomed to the toilet before the new baby arrives. I don’t think I can handle two children in diapers. That’s a recipe for a nightmare.
Potty training takes a certain amount of attentiveness…okay, a lot of attentiveness. In addition to taking him to the potty after meals, I have my ear open to any signs that my son is ready to use the bathroom during the day. And I ususally have to keep my ears open while doing something else: dishes, typing, swiffering, etc. I think motherhood gives women extra brain connections to navigate stuff life this.
I wonder how many extra brain synapses I’ll get when I have two in the house.
