{A Breath Prayer for the grieving, the brokenhearted, and the ones who’ve lost their way.}
Me: God, teach me to trust.
“Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.”
Romans 10:17
Me: Okay so that’s faith…but trust comes by…what? {Flipping through the pages of the Word for an answer}
“He who trusts in the Lord will be like Mount Zion which can never be shaken.”
Psalm 125:1
Faith is the elementary form. Trust is the advanced form. Faith is knowledge that I Am is true. Trust is experience that I Am is true, even when it doesn’t look like I Am is true.
Daughter, do you trust that I Am your peace when surrounded by violence?
Daughter, do you trust that I Am your healer when everyone dies?
Daughter, do you trust that I will make a way for you when you’re facing a Red Sea?
Daughter, when you trust me all the way to the end of the end of darkness, it is there you’ll find me. Standing and waiting with open arms.
When you reach that end, you’ll be bruised, daughter. You’ll be brokenhearted, but you’ll also be better. Jacob wrestled with Me and walked away with a limp.
It was only when Jacob limped that I called him prince. I couldn’t bless him when he was walking in his own strength. So I gave him a limp. He was a limping prince.
And daughter when you stop wrestling with me and surrender to your limp, I’ll bless you with the blessing of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I’ll bless you in My Name. So don’t be afraid to walk that dark road. I am the light that shines in darkness.
“Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”
Psalm 23:4
