I need regular time to introvert. Fast paced living and noise push too much on my brain space.
I’m the type of person who likes to take things deliberately. I think them through. I am slow to act. I measure twice and cut once.
I love meeting people one-on-one and having personal conversations. Chatter doesn’t work too well for me.
So I made a point to slow down and recover whenever I’m in crowds. I do this by returning to my practice of journaling, by re-engaging in my prayer life, and by working on my bullet journal.
Today I feel more centered and I have more clarity. I don’t feel as frazzled, and I’m ready to refocus on my highest priorities-family, writing, and self-care. It’s because I am consciously taking the time to slow down, even if it means saying no to other things.
Are you an introvert or an extrovert? How to you refresh and recharge?
