I’ve been blogging the past few Mondays about buying time. In our fast paced, dot com world, it’s easy to fritter our lives aways on the non-essentials. But we cannot recover a minute, an hour or a day spent in unfruitful pursuits. Unlike money, once lost, time cannot be recouped.
So here this week’s list of three activities we can do when we’re tempted to dawdle:
1) Spend time with your child! Take some time out and spend quality time with your kids: read with them, play a game, tell a funny joke!
2) Take notice of something your spouse needs and help them. Make a phone call to encourage them or help in a practical way (ex. mend a button!)
3) Clean your kitchen counters!
If anyone has any other ideas, feel free to leave a comment and I’ll include your idea in next week’s post (giving credit to you of course!). Also, if you leave an idea along with a blog link, I’ll include that in a future post as well. When you leave a comment with your ideas, you’ll be automatically entered for a chance to win five inspirational novels. Winner chosen on June 7th!
