I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We ate a lot of food! So many leftovers, I was glad that I didn’t have to make dinner for the last few days.
So now…it’s on to prepping for Christmas. Last year, I got some new Christmas decor and it’s time for me to pull it out of the attic and set up shop, plus get a tree. We order a live tree at the local Farmer’s Market. However, this year I’m a bit antsy about getting a tree because I have a 19 month old who loves to figure out how things work. When he was a baby last year, he didn’t move around much but this year it’s different. I guess I’ll have to teach him some Christmas tree etiquette…(meaning, don’t touch!)
Also, this year we are going to set up some lights outside the house. That’s a first for us! We plan to do complete everything this week. In addition to all the other wonderful things on my ‘to do’ list 😉
It’s easy to get overwhelmed with everything during the holidays. I think good planning is key to avoiding burnout. Fly Lady has a great holiday planner on her website. Here’s the link.
