This week I’m starting a new multi-week series on Visionating. The series will be posted on Mondays and Wednesdays. Together we’ll craft a personalized life plan document using my free ebook: Visionating. If you don’t have the ebook, be sure to get it by using the form on your right.
To get started with your life plan, you’ll need to gathera few supplies. I like to keep my plan in a binder with separate dividers for each section you’ll work in. You can also use a tabbed notebook or a computer based document. Go ahead and gather the supplies you like to work with in preparation for the “grunt work” 😉
Here are a few benefits of creating a life plan:
*A Life Plan Adds Value to Your Life: Having a life plan forces you to think about where you are on your journey. It helps refine your values, evaluate how you spend your time and set the course of your future.
*A Life Plan Helps You Move Past Your Mistakes: Having a life plan helps you get over feelings of self-imposed guilt over your past. You can read it and be assured that you have a solid map towards your future.
*A Life Plan Helps You to See Your Potential: Having a life plan helps you identify your interests and talents and develop a map to develop them to their full potential.
*A Life Plan Serves as a Filter for Your Decisions: Having a life plan not only shows you what to say ‘yes’ to, it’ also shows you what to say ‘no’ to. Personally, after the birth of my second child, I see that I now have to say ‘no’ to a lot of things which were cramping my life. I just don’t have the time. This is a blessing because I can now focus on what matters the most to me and work on developing in those areas. A life plan will do the same for you!
So those are just a few of the benefits of a Life Plan. Don’t forget to gather your supplies. On Wednesday, I’ll talk about how to divide up your Life Plan and I’ll provide an overview of the first section in your life plan document. To get the details, sign up for my free ebook: Visionating.
