I am floored! #ALowcountryBride received a STARRED review from the American Library Association’s Booklist This is my first ever starred review as an author Thank you, Booklist! I am so glad you enjoyed the story.
For those who don’t know, starred book reviews from industry publications are a great sign. A starred review means that A Lowcountry Bride is “an outstanding title of a particular genre,” according to Wikipedia. For my book, that genre is romance!
Here is a sentence from the review. The full review will be in Booklist’s April 15th issue.
“With superb character development and great emotional depth, Afro Filipina writer Williams stitches together a quietly powerful love story that is beautifully enriched by the deft and insightful incorporation of weighty issues such as grief and medical conditions into the compelling plot and brightly enhanced by glimpses into the vibrant culture and history of Charleston.”
All of this goodness all at once is making my heart so full. Never give up on your dreams, folks.
